The Frankie's Mask Project

The Frankie Mask Project was launched during the Covid-19 pandemic. What began as a way of protecting Frankie's family became a love mission to protect her community. Our first mission was to deliver a mask and a candle in remembrance of the first year memorial of Frankie's passing on June 2, 2019. This project grew to support the Frankie Morris-Perez Memorial Scholarship. Frankie often spoke of wanting to combine the study of psychology (to understand) with the arts (to heal). This scholarship supports a Beacon School student who has similar aspirations.

The "Carry On" Frankie Memorial Project

The Frankie "Carry On" Memory Project was created to continue our fundraising for the Frankie Memorial Scholarship now that masks are not in high demand.  The idea came from Frankie's fashion sense.  She was always trying to make sure that her accessories complemented her outfits. She would have loved these bags.

This bag includes three special symbols : the f-Forte symbol is a dedication to Frankie's love of music and her strength.  The butterflies represent her magical and ephemeral talent for connection. The 17 butterflies represent the number of years we were fortunate to have Frankie with us.  Read more about the meaning behind the images on the bags in the About Frankie's Bags section.

Each bag is signed with "Free" in Morse Code, which is the meaning behind her full name (Francesca) and resembles the letter F.

Morse Code:

Many of the bags have a message painted in Morse Code. Besides the aesthetics of the dots and dashes, the Morse Code words can be a secret message for you to share with someone special.
